EST TEKNİK BELGELENDİRME HİZMETLERİ A.Ş. operates to provide assessment and approval services under the European Parliament and Council Directive 2014/34/EU on Equipment and Protective Systems Intended for Use in Potentially Explosive Atmospheres, which is in force to ensure the safety of equipment used in explosive environments. In Turkey, this directive has been implemented under the name “Regulation on Equipment and Protective Systems Intended for Use in Potentially Explosive Atmospheres” and is applied in full compliance with EU regulations as part of the technical legislation harmonization process with the European Union.
In this regard, manufacturers in Turkey must fully comply with the ATEX directive to ensure the free movement of their products in European and global markets. In order to meet the requirements of the directive, companies must undergo conformity assessment procedures before affixing the CE mark to their products.
EST TEKNİK BELGELENDİRME HİZMETLERİ A.Ş. has initiated the application process for TÜRKAK TS EN ISO/IEC 17065 accreditation in order to carry out these processes professionally. Upon completion of the accreditation process, the company aims to provide services as an impartial and independent organization.
Modules to be assessed and approved under the 2014/34/EU ATEX Directive:
Annex 3 Module B: EU Type Examination – Assessment and approval of the product’s technical design for compliance with relevant standards,
Annex 4 Module D: Conformity to Type (Quality Assurance of the Production Process) – Assessment and approval of the conformity of production processes to the quality management system,
Annex 5 Module F: Conformity to Type (Product Verification) – Assessment and approval of the conformity of manufactured products to the relevant requirements,
Annex 6 Module C1: Conformity to Type (Controlled Product Testing and Internal Production Control) – Assessment and approval of the conformity of products following inspections carried out during the production process,
Annex 7 Module E: Conformity to Type (Product Quality Assurance) – Assessment and approval of the conformity of products with the quality assurance system,
Annex 8 Module A: Internal Control of Production – Evaluation and approval of production processes in accordance with internal controls,
Annex 9 Module G: Unit Verification – Approval of products’ compliance with regulatory requirements through individual evaluation.
Following the completion of our accreditation process, we will provide services to ensure that your products and production processes comply with international standards as an impartial, independent, and reliable assessment and approval body under the ATEX regulation.
